Special Interest Groups (SIG)

A Special Interest Group is a collection of one or more Technical Committees. SIGs represent functional areas rather than specific UGS application. SIGs are aligned with the UGS Product Line areas.

Focus Groups

The purpose of a Focus Group is to represent a group of PLM World® members who are interested in a particular technical area that is not covered by an existing Special Interest Group and does not meet the requirements for a SIG status. A Focus Group may also represent a smaller group of PLM World® members who are interested in a process specific application or emerging technology offered by UGS not yet widely used by many users. Focus Groups may serve as the staging ground for forming a new Special Interest Group.
